Homepage Layout: One Big Story and List of Stories from the Same Series

This layout is useful if you want to display a Series of related posts at the top of your homepage. It features a single story assigned to a series with full-width image treatment. Other posts from the same series appear to the right of the big story's headline and excerpt. This layout is identical to the "Big Story" layout except the links added to the top post are to posts in the same Series:

With this layout setting, a Post Prominence of Homepage Top Story has no effect on how a post is displayed.

Posts below the top will display in descending chronological order down the page.

All Homepage Featured posts display a large (1170px wide) Featured Image (if available in the post).

Sticky posts display a large thumbnail Featured Image floated to the left.

Non-sticky posts and posts not assigned to Homepage Featured display a smaller thumbnail floated to the right:

Note that in order to stick a post to the top, you must check the box to "Show sticky posts box on  homepage ?" and set at least one post as sticky.

Sidebar

The One Big Story with Series layout has no homepage sidebar. You'll still see a Main Sidebar widget area in Appearance > Widgets, but it won't display on the homepage.
