How can I make a post sticky?
To make a post sticky:
- Open the post in the post edit screen.
- In the Publish box at the top right corner of the screen, find the Visibility status (Public, Private, etc) and click edit.
- Ensure the post you are editing is set to public and then click the checkbox in front of Stick this post to the front page.
Depending which
homepage template you are using, the way sticky posts are displayed on the homepage may be a bit different.
Typically, making a post sticky will cause it to appear at the top of the river view of stories until you either replace it with a more recent sticky post or remove the sticky label in the same way as you set it (by unchecking the checkbox from the post edit screen).
Note that only one post can be sticky at a time, so if you set a new post to be sticky it will unset the option for the older post and display only the most recent sticky post on the homepage.
